    Pumpkin spice & everything nice

Give em pumpkin to talk about!   Umm…Yes… we are talking pumpkin today. YAAAAAS AUTUMN aka PUMPKIN SEASON is upon us! There is nothing more refreshing than seeing the leaves change colors to hues of red, orange and yellow !! (Well, except for maybe the smell of autumn spices lingering in your kitchen after baking a fresh batch of pumpkin bread). If you guys know me, you would know that I am ridiculously obsessed with everything pumpkin spice. Yes, I’m that one person at the Trader Joe aisles with all things pumpkin in my cart around this time of the year (don’t judge me). Haha, don’t be surprise if I…

    Mo Bananas, No Problem!

That’s just bananas….. Bananas are a staple food in my daily life. I always have them on my kitchen counter to grab on my way out to work in the morning.  I’ll have them in my smoothies, use them to make ice cream, and snack on them constantly with peanut butter after a tough work-out. So I always have a lot of bananas … but sometimes these bananas just sit on my counter and brown up by the end of the week, eventually becoming too ripe to eat. And quite frankly, this is a very tragic moment for us banana lovers because we would have to go through the “keep it…

Wool & Cashmere Coat in San Francisco

The key to creating a timeless wardrobe is to focus on quality and multi-seasonal and multi-functional staple pieces. One of my go-to year-round outerwear is a classic wool & cashmere blend coat. I’m from Los Angeles, so it’s not really a year-round coat. But sometimes I get lucky enough to wear it season after season depending on where I’m heading. I love bringing this coat with me when I’m heading to cooler cities like San Francisco. I spent a weekend in San Francisco mid-March and quite honestly, this coat was the only thing I needed. I think every gal needs a staple coat. I love that it’s versatile and it doesn’t matter how…

    Cotton Candy Skies

Positive mind, positive vibes, positive life.   One thing I continue to work on as I’m going through my twenties is making a more conscious effort to surround myself with positive, nourishing, and uplifting people, who believes in me and encourages me to chase my dreams. I really do believe that your vibe attracts the people around you, so I try to be positive so I can continue to meet new people who are full of vibrant energy! I also enjoy sharing some of life’s most humbling experiences with friends. This weekend, I had the opportunity to do one of the coolest thing: Yoga during sunset at a helipad in…

    25 Things I’ve Learned in 25 Years

Today I turn 25… which means I am now a member of the quarter century club! It feels like I have (in some sort of weird way) been “officially” initiated into adulthood because I am no longer in my early twenties. There’s definitely a weird feeling about turning 25; it’s like you feel like you’re getting old, but at the same time, you know you’re still young. To put things in perspective, my parents were married and had 2 kids by 25. And what am I doing?! Still figuring out life! But, if there is anything that I am feeling right now, it’s definitely nostalgia, because how in the world…

    Olive You

Olive you, from my head tomatoes   When I think about the transition between winter & spring, I tend to cringe a little bit because we are always dealing with extreme weathers! But luckily, there are a few transition pieces that I think will help solve the most awkward time of the year. I’ve styled an outfit that I would most likely be seen casually wearing during this time of the year- it’s a mixture of basic essentials consisting of a turtleneck, midi-skirt and ankle boots. Honestly, I’ve always been a fan of turtlenecks because I can’t stand it when the back of my neck gets cold! A thin ribbed…

    A Pop of Color!

Style tip: A little pop of color goes a long way!   If you’re like me & prefer to wear neutral color clothing, a style trick that I like to use to spice up any look is add colorful accessories to your outfit. It could be any kind of accessories (i.e handbags, earrings, or even shoes!). I honestly don’t even know where this red handbag is from; it’s nothing fancy & it’s definitely not a brand of any sort but hey, if it adds color, you pick it up and just roll with it. I literally found this bag lying around my mother’s home with no purpose so I decided…

    Orange Culottes

If the color orange was a person, we would get along because orange is a color that makes me feel very bright, warm, optimistic & full of positive energy. And it just so happens to be my favorite color!   Even though it’s my favorite color, I am very neutral when it comes to the clothes I wear. Most of the clothes I own are either black, white or gray. I don’t know why but it’s always so much harder for me to buy something in color because I don’t think I would wear it enough to warrant the purchase. But lately, I’ve been obsessing over culottes (which are kind of…

    Don’t Worry, Be Happy!

To all my stressed-out worrywarts, this one is for you: I get it. I’m just like you. I go to work, freak out the minute I realize I have over 100 unread emails, a pile of mail to sort through, 3 back to back conference calls by noon, 26 unread voicemails, and a soul that I still want to keep… Like most people, my first thought is: how the hell am I going to get this all done?!? where do I start? I’m soooooo gonna get fired if I don’t get this all done. And that’s when the stress-level shoots up higher than the moon with a million thoughts on how…
